Die Inspiration von Chefdesignerin Maria Grazia Chiuri ihrer ersten Haute-Couture Kollektion für Dior: ein fast undurchdringliches Labyrinth, angelegt wie ein geheimer Garten.
Dior erschuf einen Märchenwald im Musée Rodin
So ließ Dior für die Show einen ganzen Märchenwald im Musée Rodin nachempfinden, in dem seine Gäste unter einem beschützendem Baum platznahmen.
Das Ergebnis einer zauberhaft inspirierten Kollektion waren Abendkleider in changierenden und pudrigen Farben, wie Mauve, Blau, Pink, und Grau. Doch den Einstieg fand die Show mit schwereren Stoffen: In schwarzer Rotkäppchen-Silhouette mit Dior bekannter schmaler Taille liefen die ersten Märchen-Looks über den Laufsteg. Diors bekannten Bar Jackets wurden von Chefdesignerin Maria Grazia Chiuri für den diesigen Waldempfang mit Kapuzen versehen und zu weiten Midiröcken und Hosen kombiniert. Das kurze Cape fand sich über bodenlangen, ausgestellten Röcken wieder und assoziierte Schneewittchens Look bei der Suche im Wald nach einer Unterkunft.
Die Roben weckten in jedem Betrachter den Wunsch einmal Cinderella zu sein
Der schwarze, fast kuttenartige Einstieg der Kollektion wurde durch weite Roben mit Tüll, Seide und transparenten Stofflagen in hellen Hauttönen und leichten übereinander liegenden Grüntönen angereichert. Rüschen, Volants, opulenter Kopfschmuck und Elfenmasken komplimentierten Diors Märchentraum.
